During the Easter Holidays 13 Year 11 students went to see a performance of the play 'The Woman in Black' at the Fortune Theatre, London.
The trip was organised to allow students to complete their review of a live performance, which is a required part of their GCSE Drama course. Students studied this play as part of their Unit 2 practical workshops and had completed a documentary response. All the students thoroughly enjoyed the play after studying it in such detail, and were thrilled to see it performed at a London Theatre.
Ryan Perry wrote a live performance review of the play and summed it up with the following:
The play was well received in the fact that it made everyone scream on multiple occasions. Furthermore, it was very well done technically, theatrically and dramatically. The story was clear, interesting and entertaining. The effects were superb; they were timed precisely and created to be amazing. The characters were entirely wonderful. My favourite part was the very end, when the subtly-lit mask of the woman in black appeared in the darkness, adding a twist that nobody saw coming. But most of all, it was scary. This play surpassed all of my expectations for fear and entertainment. I loved this play.
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
