Students from our feeder primary schools have taken part in workshops throughout this term with specialist art staff and local artist Stephen Magrath to find out about the human body, disease and microbiology. They have looked at work by the artist, and have used microscopes and scientific images to inspire their own pieces of artwork for exhibition.
Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils have created fantastic coloured drawings of diseases and cells, glass paintings of microscopic slides and clay sculptures to represent viruses and bacteria. All the work will go on display alongside the artist's work and will open to the public at the private viewing on Saturday 10th October, 12pm - 2.30pm, refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome.
Their will also be live art performances on the day!
You can take a look at some of the drawings and artworks made this week by year 4 and 6 students from Knowle Park in the gallery page on the right!
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
